A members only event starting at 7:30 am, enjoy a breakfast with many of your fellow Busicians in a setting where we can get to know each other and actually hear the conversation! Our guest speaker will be Jeff Emmett, guitar technician from Tone Shop Guitars.  Learn about the techniques of setting up a stringed instrument, maintenance, proper care, modifications and more.

Jeff Emmett earned a BS in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering from Clarkson University in 1982 and worked for over three decades in Defense Electronics, retiring in 2013 as a Principal Systems Engineer.  Music has been an integral part of his life from an early age.  He studied various musical instruments (Piano, French Horn, Trumpet, Tuba) before settling on the Guitar as his primary instrument.  After learning to play on his Mother’s instrument and purchasing an Electric-Acoustic of his own, he built his first electric guitar at the age of 19.  He returned to this hobby around 1995, building additional instruments and starting a side business doing guitar repairs that grew into a full time job.   Graduated from the Journeyman program at Galloup School of Guitar Building and Repair in 2013 and is currently employed at Tone Shop Guitars in Addison, Tx.

It's a fun way to get better acquainted and learn about the business interests of other BYO members. Join us.
