It’s time to get ready for the All Hands Jam at Red Rock Bar and Grill. This month we will try to shake it up a little bit so if you are interested in playing, keep reading for full details.

In an effort to get bring back some spontaneity and to get more members involved we want to tweak the format just a tad this month. As in past Jams we will still feature a mix of rehearsed sets and open jams, but we would like no more than 4 sets with the balance going to open jam time. If you have been preparing a set for the June Jam, let Bob know immediately. Since this format may not be able to accommodate all rehearsed sets, we urge you to be original. If it’s been done before, it probably will have to wait until a more benevolent Jam Poobah is in charge (just think, it could be you next month).

In addition, we would like to have one of the sets be a “newbie” set; performed by members that have not yet played in an AHJ. We are looking for one “veteran” to serve as musical director for this set. Let Bob know pronto if you are willing and able.

Could be grounds for impeachment but this month’s Jam Poobah hereby dictates…Limit of one rehearsed set per member. Let’s get some other people involved and on stage for a change.

Bob’s goal this month is to see the bulk of the night dedicated to open jams. To that end, a master song list is accessible through the above google drive spreadsheet link. If you are interested in playing on a particular song, put your name down. We will compile all entries and songs with the most interest will be chosen.

Our challenge will be to attempt to arrange songs so that we keep players on stage for contiguous songs thereby avoiding a lot of personnel changes. Please feel free to add songs as well.

Obviously, if you want your songs seen and signed up for, you need to get them on the list as soon as possible. Collusion is allowed; if you want to play with your buddies, have them sign up for your songs.

Wednesday June 10^th 2015 – First shout out, sign up sheet open, rehearsed sets need to contact Jam Poobah

Thursday June 18^th – deadline for open jam sign up

Friday  June 19th – open jam set list compiled and announced via email. That gives players almost a week practice their licks.
