MONTHLY BYO BUSICIAN BREAKFAST MEETING

A members only event starting at 7:30 am, enjoy a breakfast with many of your fellow Busicians in a setting where we can get to know each other and actually hear the conversation! Various guest speakers stimulate the conversation and of course music is often discussed. 

Our speaker this month is Joanne St. Angelo. Joanna has served the Sammons Center for the Arts from opening day, March 1, 1988 to present overseeing its development and evolution.  Under her stewardship the Center has developed into the largest private nonprofit arts incubator in the country serving fourteen resident performing arts groups and more than eighty non-resident arts organizations.  In addition to running the Sammons Center for the Arts, she is a nationally recognized consultant in the development of arts incubators and community arts centers and has consulted on more than a dozen successful arts projects in Texas and other states.  With more than twenty-five years experience in nonprofit management, she is active on a number of boards and advisory boards including the USA Film Festival, the Mexico Institute, the TACA Board of Governors, and the Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau Cultural Tourism Committee.  She is a founding member of the Dallas Area Cultural Advocacy Coalition (DACAC) and serves that organization in the role of President.  DACAC serves the entire Dallas Arts Community, advocating on behalf of arts and cultural organizations at the City, State and National level on issues of importance to artists and arts organizations.
